Sculpture

For the outdoor sculpture I selected a series of labels representing the layout and architecture of a contemporary suburban home found in Valencia, California and cast them in concrete to serve as markers in the landscape. Visitors walk through the "rooms" of a model home, "Master Bath, Great Room, 3 Car Garage, etc." superimposed on the rugged landscape located adjacent to the edge of a new housing development. With the outdoor installation, I was interested in creating a visceral experience to the question of how choices are made about the way we inhabit our environment.
